The last time I did some proper Sonic fan art was like.....years ago now. I still DRAW him, but haven't really drawn, coloured and cleaned up one.
Now I have. This drawing could be a lot better: background and colouring still aches me, but I can't seem to figure how to improve it. Next one: no ground shot. I'm a Sonic fan from way back since the Mega Drive years (even got the first Archie Sonic comic, NERD ALERT!) My Sonic fandom has taken a beating over the recent splash of games. And while I can respect that other people like these games, a lot of them just left me going "....buh-wha?" Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was just....augh. Finished his levels, haven't touched it since. But at the heart of it, even if I no longer buy every game just because it has Sonic on the title, I still admire him. He was the one who inspired me to draw. It all started with Sonic, the fastest thing alive. On another note, I am playing Sonic Unleashed. Why? It has Super Sonic in the opening sequence. F*** yes. |

As for the actual drawing... well... it looks really good for the most part. The only thing that irks me about it is how that one spine on Sonic's right side seems to "connect" with his tail under his arm. It's all perspective, but, yeah. xD;
Others than that, freaking awesome, if ye ask me.

I would challenge you to a battle of wits but it appears you are unarmed.
I believe you're referring to his left leg under his arm. I didn't draw his tail (which would be a lot smaller).
Regardless, I can see what you mean. It looks like his fourth spine down goes past his arm. Suppose I should've positioned his arm better so to help distinguish his leg and his spine.
But thank you nonetheless
